John T Sharp, beloved patriarch of 7 children, 31 grandchildren and 64 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2013. He was surrounded by family and friends. He is now reunited with his wife and son who preceded him in death. John Truman Sharp was the second of seven children; he was born on September 22, 1919 to Vernon and Mildred Sharp of Cub River, Idaho. In his early years he attended school up until the eighth grade where he went straight to work on ranches and farms. He was a hard worker his entire life.
He met the love of his life Martha Glenn Sharp at an LDS Church dance. He heard her sing and knew from that moment that he wanted to marry her. They were married in the Logan LDS Temple February 4, 1941 for time and all eternity. He then served an honorable LDS Mission in the Western States with his sweetheart joining him the last year of his mission. They were married for 69 years.
He had a deep love and loyalty for his family and friends. He was an incredibly hard worker that didn't take much of a break, but if you stuck around long enough you might find him taking a quick nap on the ground with his hat over his face using his arm as a pillow. When he wasn't working he loved to travel with his family and friends to see as much as he could. He was easily identified by his beat up black truck and his baseball cap cocked to the side.
He is survived by 4 sons and 2 daughters: Michael Sharp (Nina) Kent Washington, Ronald Sharp (Diane) Cambrea California, Liz Casper (Kyle) Stockton California, Ivan Sharp (Lisa) Amalga Utah, Polly Kennedy (Bill) Wellsville, Utah and Zan Sharp (Vivian) Wellsville, Utah.
