John Thomas Doucette

April 16, 1990 — August 5, 2009

LOGAN, UTAH: John Thomas Doucette, son of Bill and Susan Doucette, was born on April 16, 1990
in Logan, Utah and drowned while swimming with friends at Tony Grove Lake on August 5, 2009. In addition to his mother and father, John is survived by his beloved brother Paul, currently living in Salt Lake City while attending the University of Utah, and his dogs Ringo and Powder. John graduated from Logan High School in 2008 and attended Utah State University later that year.

John was passionate about everything, especially Packer football, Jazz basketball, current events, politics and music. His friends referred to him as a walking “Sports Center”. He loved music of all types and did his best to keep his Mom and Dad’s playlists up to date. John was fun loving and really enjoyed watching movies and stand up comedy. He was a kind, sweet and sensitive young man who brought out the best in people. We will miss his humor, his laugh, and his incredible smile that charmed everyone with whom he came in contact.

Visitation will be held at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center St in Logan on Sunday August 9 from 3:00 to 4:45 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 5:00 p.m. Charles Acevedo will lead the service. Honorary Pallbearers will be cousins Thomas and Gregory Bowman, from San Diego, CA, Michael and William Brandstatt from Arlington Heights, IL, and friends Nate Romrell and Mark Wallin of Logan. A casual reception for family and friends to celebrate John’s life will be held after the service at 1801 N. 1700 E, North Logan.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made in John’s name to the Cache County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue and/or Bear Lake Diving Club. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.allenmortuaries.net
