Jolyn Ann (Campbell) Clark, known for her deep love of family and her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, passed away on May 4th, 2023 at the age of 76 surrounded by her family.
Jolyn was born on August 1st, 1946 in Oakland, CA and grew up in Washington State until her early teens. She then moved to Athens, Alabama, where she graduated from Athens High School. She then settled in Cache Valley where she met her husband, Jerel (Jerry). Jolyn was an amazing mother who raised 8 children of her own. She cared for many foster children throughout the years. She was an excellent seamstress, enjoyed gardening, and loved tole painting. Jolyn's main interest in life was being a mother and caring for her family. She was the world’s best mother; it was her greatest joy.
Jolyn helped grow the family business and was known for her hard work and dedication. She had an amazing relationship with her Savior, Jesus Christ, and passed on her belief and love of Jesus to her children. She was sealed to her husband, Jerry, in the LDS Logan Temple on March 21st, 1969.
Jolyn faced many obstacles in life, but her greatest challenge was losing two of her sons. Despite her struggles with her health over the years, including a cancer diagnosis in November of 2022 she was still determined and positive.
Jolyn was preceded in death by her parents, several siblings, and her sons David and James. She is survived by her husband Jerel (Jerry), six children, Monica Miles (Dan), Jerel, Toni Barson (Jerren), Dusty (Monica), Steven (Alexsis), and Tia, 15 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Her family is grateful for her love, guidance, and support and is comforted knowing she is reunited with her sons.
A viewing will be held on Thursday May 11th, 2023 from 6-8 at Allen Hall Mortuary (34 E. Center Logan, UT). The family appreciates the love and support they have received during this difficult time.
A graveside service will be held Friday May 12th at 11 a.m. at the Smithfield City Cemetery.
