Jon Randall Pitcher passed away September 16, 2019 at his home in Smithfield, Utah. Jon was born in Logan, Utah October 26, 1944 to Leo and Marie Pitcher.
Jon graduated from North Cache High School where he met the love of his life, Joyce Gail DeMille Pitcher and was married February 22, 1962. They received their endowments and were sealed together in Logan Temple April 19,1963.
Jon was a great man and wonderful father to 5 children, Thomas J (Sally) Pitcher, Sharon Pitcher, Teresa Marie Pitcher, Chriss (Bryan) Rogers, and Beverly Ann (Will) Hatch. He was also blessed with 8 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leo Mikkelson Pitcher and Marie Helen Petty Pitcher and grandson Levi Jon Pitcher.
Jon worked at Delmonte Plant in Smithfield, the sugar factory in Lewiston Smithfield City and Farmed with his dad.
In 1982, Jon and Joyce purchased the Pitcher Dairy where they worked hand in hand together until retiring in 2004.
Jon had many talents, he could build, fix, and do magic like a wizard on the farm.
Jon was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need, never expecting anything in return. He was a teacher of hard work, respect, be kind and never give up.
For the past 15 years Jon has been a grand example to Joyce and all their children, showing them the power to never give up and keep smiling, no matter what life throws at you. Jon always greeted people with a smile. He loved traveling wherever Joyce would take him; he enjoyed visiting with anyone he came in contact with. Although he didn’t have his voice anymore, you could always see in his face he had something to say. When his children, grandchildren and great grand children came into the room with him his face would light up with so much joy.
When Jon was younger he enjoyed hunting, chariot races, meeting his friends at coffee daily. Jon was never short of a joke or to make someone smile.
Every morning and afternoon when Jon would leave for chores he never left the house without a kiss from Joyce.
