Jonathan Michael Riebeek

May 24, 1983 — January 16, 2010

Our loving son, brother, grandson, and friend Jonathan Michael Riebeek, left the earth to join his Grandpa and Grandma Jensen in heaven on January 16th, 2010. He was a caring and giving person, who went out of his way to give his time and love to friends and family whenever it was needed. He was born May 24, 1983 in Logan Utah.

He loved the outdoors and spent a considerable amount of time hiking, camping and walking his dog America through some of his favorite spots such as Yellowstone, Cherry Creek, and Jackson Hole. He especially enjoyed the Redwoods, and had the opportunity to share them with his parents when he lived in California.

When Jon cared for something, he put his heart and soul into it, whether it was his pets, his house, family and friends, or his job. He graduated from Sky View High School and was taking classes at Bridgerland while working side by side with his father in the family business. He was proud of his house in Cornish, and spent countless hours working on it getting it just how he wanted it.

At Christmas 2009, Jon asked the love of his life, Lincee Hill and her son to be a part of his life. They were planning a marriage in Logan Canyon this summer. Jon is survived by his parents Bryan and Margarat Riebeek, his brother Bryan, his Grandparents Fred and Neeltje Riebeek and many other family members.

In lieu of flowers, Jon would have appreciated a donation to the local food bank or Humane society.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 22, 2010 at the Allen Mortuary of North Logan, 420 East 1800 North in North Logan. There will be a viewing on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the mortuary and prior to services on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Interment will be in the Richmond Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net

Oh, the tree of life is growing, Where the spirit never dies. And the bright light of salvation shines, In dark and empty skies... Not the end, not the end, just remember death is not the end. -Bob Dylan
