HYRUM, UTAH: J. Lynn Lauritzen just after his 85th
birthday returned home to is Heavenly Father
surrounded by his loving family at his home on
February 12, 2008, after a courageous battle with
cancer.

Hyrum most of his life. He attended Lincoln Elementary
and graduated from Hyrum Seminary in 1940 and South

athletic director for two years. Dad served in WW II
for three years where he was a corporal in the Air

Dad loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.
He was always teasing the grandchildren, and a
greeting of “Hey George” to everyone. Dad always had
the ability to strike up a conversation with anyone he
met. Dad loved to camp up in Blacksmith Fork Canyon
and fish with his family. He loved spending time with
Mom. They loved to garden, take rides up the canyon
and just sit outside enjoying the outdoors. Dad was
mom’s sweetheart and he didn’t like it when she left
his side.

Dad was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter- Day-Saints where he had a strong testimony and
held many callings throughout his life. He currently
belongs to the Hyrum 15th ward.
