MENDON, UTAH: Joyce Brown Hiibner passed away December 6, 2012, at the age of 94. She was born to William Vernon and Louisa Oldham Brown November 23, 1918 in Hyrum , Utah .
Joyce attended school in Hyrum , Utah . She married Orson Wayne Hiibner in the Logan Temple on June 26, 1935. She has lived in Mendon all her married life where she raised her four children and was active in the community.
Joyce has always been known for helping others. She worked in the Logan Temple and volunteered at Logan Regional Hospital once a week for 25 years. She has held many church callings including name extraction for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a service mission at Beehive Clothing.
Joyce believed in keeping busy. She always took pride in her yard and home. In the past several years she was unable to work in the yard but she wanted to make sure the grass was cut and the leaves picked up. She loved to travel and have new experiences. She was interested in and liked to be involved in the lives of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Joyce is survived by three of her children: Gene, Marilyn Krogh, Gayle (Jerry) Miller, daughter-in-law Bonnie Hiibner; sister, Shirley (Don) Mitton; 12 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother (Ray), sister (Ruth Boyce), son (Calvin); son-in-law (Larry Krogh), grandson (Michael Krogh), great granddaughter (Alexis Miller).
A funeral service will be held at noon, Monday December 10, 2012 at the Mendon Utah Stake Center, 460 South 100 East, Mendon, Utah. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center , Logan , Utah , and Monday prior to the funeral services, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Internment will be at the Mendon City Cemetery .
