Joy Peterson Golding, 82, passed away on Monday November 21, 2011. She was born on June 9, 1929 in Logan, Utah to Edwin and Veda Peterson.
Joy graduated from Logan High in 1947. She married Ross Golding in the Logan temple on August 11, 1950. They shared many memories together. In the early fifties they were stake dance instructors. They raised three sons and a daughter. They were Primary teachers, service missionaries at the DI, and Logan temple workers. The highlight of their church service was fulfilling a mission to Nauvoo, Illinois.
Joy was an excellent seamstress. She loved to crochet, bake goodies and dip chocolates for Christmas. She enjoyed her flower beds and spending time in her yard. She did extractions for the Family History Center.
Joy was preceded in death by her husband, Ross, two sons, Ed and Jay and siblings Chester Peterson and Wanda Marrs. She is survived by her son, Don (Cherryl) Golding, Montpelier, ID and daughter, SaRene (Scott) Brooks, Morgan UT.
Services will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at noon at the Mt. Logan Stake Center, 565 East 100 South. Friends may call prior to service from 10:30-11:45.
Interment Logan City Cemetery. COndolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net
