Juan Alberto Martinez Mora of Logan, Utah beloved son, brother, father, uncle, nephew, grandson, and friend regretfully lost his battle with depression and returned to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 8, 2016.
This star first took it’s place here on earth on July 24, 1970 to Juan and Margarita Martinez in Torreon, Mexico. And from that day forth his light only got brighter.
He was the oldest of 4 and our only brother. After losing our father in Mexico, mom decided to move to Logan with her 4 children, here Juan just kept on shining. He attended Logan High School where he excelled in track and cross country, graduating in 1988.
His love for his Heavenly Father was always prominent in his life. Ever time he spoke of the Gospel his whole demeanor would light up and due to this great love, he chose to serve a full time LDS mission. He served in Villa del Mar, Chile and finished in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
After returning, he was married in the Logan, Utah temple and had 3 beautiful children. He later remarried and was blessed with his fourth child. His children were the driving force of his life.
To all that knew him, he always made you strive to do your best. He had a way of lightening up any situation with a quirkiness that always put a smile on anyone’s face. We must always remember that a star has not burned out but now only burns brighter in the heavens. He will be greatly missed and always loved.
He is survived by his four children Juan, Ashley, Michael, and Schuyler Martinez. His mother Margarita Martinez. His 3 younger sisters Gabriela (Michael) Cazier, Susana (Jose) Arredondo, and Yadira (Rigoberto) Rosas. Fourteen nieces and nephews and many, many more family and friends. We love you and till we meet again.
