Judith Ann Moffett Poppleton, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on July 18th, 2024 after an extended illness.
The second of 3 children born to Mary Olive Noel Moffett and Alonzo Dean Moffett, Judie was born April 6, 1947 in Burley, Idaho.
Growing up in southern California, she loved climbing trees and helping the harried mothers at church, as well as the babies her mother tended at home. She was a faithful, life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Judie met and married Merlyn Ray Poppleton in 1967 and they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles Temple. Together, they raised eight children and served in various callings within the LDS Church, including a mission to Lansing, Michigan from 2003-2004.
Judie dedicated her life to her family, kept a beautiful, bustling home, and generously shared whatever she had. Despite facing numerous health challenges, her faith and determination never wavered. Her love for her family and strong testimony of the gospel sustained her through difficult times.
Judie is survived by her loving husband Merlyn, daughters Megan, Rachel, Heather, Tauni, and Desiree, and sons, Travis, Ethan, and Adam, as well as 29 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and her mother, sister, and brother. She will be greatly missed by all.
A viewing will be held at Allen-Hall Mortuary 34 E. Center St. Logan on Friday, July 26th from 6-8pm. A graveside memorial service will be held at the Wellsville, UT cemetery at 10am on Saturday, July 27th. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Judie's life and legacy.
