Katherine Blau Winger Pakradounian passed from this world on Saturday, October 22, 2016 in Logan, Utah. Katherine was born June 13, 1943 in Logan, Utah to Martin and Albertine Gerber Blau. She was raised in Nibley, Utah and Dayton, Idaho. She graduated from West Side High School with many lifelong friends. Katherine met Lyman Winger and they were married September 7, 1962 in the Logan, Utah LDS temple. They settled in Salt Lake Valley and began raising a family of five sons and one daughter. Katherine was blessed with a talent for music and was a member of several singing groups and loved to gather her children to sing while she played the piano. She was also blessed with a gift of compassion. She taught her children to serve by her many hours of service. After Lyman’s passing in 1999, the Lord blessed Katherine with Albert Pakradounian and they were married in June 2000. Albert was a loving husband who provided loving service to Katherine as her health declined that allowed her to remain in her home as long as possible. Katherine is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Leon. Survived by her husband, Albert of Logan, her sister, Julene (Harry) Rindlisbacher of Amalga, brothers Terry (Connie) Blau of Twin Falls, ID, Reed (Robyn) Blau of Richmond and her children, Lyman Ray (Annette) of Lehi, Marlon (Nancy) of Casper, James (Marlene) of Roy, Robert (Tracy) of Henderson, NV, Joseph (Marie) of Lehi and Kaylene of Logan. Katherine is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren with 2 anxiously anticipated.
Funeral services will be held on Monday October 31, 2016 at 10:00am in the Logan 14th Ward LDS Chapel, 94 West 600 South. Friends may call at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center, on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00pm and at the ward on Monday morning from 9:00 to 9:45am. Interment will be immediately following the funeral in the Riverview Cemetery at 1200 South and Tremont Street in Tremonton, Utah.
