Kathleen Horlacher Lucherini

May 21, 1933 — October 7, 2018

Our beloved mother, grandma, sister, aunt and friend, Kathy Lucherini, 85, completed her earthly mission on Oct. 7, 2018. Kathy was born Mary 21, 1933 in Ely, Nevada, the third of eight children of William and Nellie Horlacher.
Kathy grew up in Logan, living near the Temple. Mom was a born nurturer. Being the oldest daughter, she spent a lot of time taking care of her younger siblings. She loved her sisters and took great pride in them.
Kathy graduated from Logan High School and Utah State Agricultural College. She later got her CNA and worked at the Logan Hospital in the OB ward. She loved helping new mothers with their babies. While attending High School, she began dating her friend Gayle’s older brother, Glen Lucherini. After returning from his mission, they married on Nov. 22, 1954.
Mom and Dad had six children: Robert, Lonnie, Monte, LynAnn, Todd and RaLee. Our mom was always our biggest fan in whatever activity we were involved in. She loved being our mother.
Kathy and Glen faithfully served two missions together, one to Argentina and one to the Washington DC Temple, and were diligent workers in the Logan Temple for over ten years.
Kathy was met joyfully by her husband Glen, son Robert, daughter RaLee, her parents, her in-laws, her brothers Bill, Donniel and Charlie, her sister Pat and many cousins.
Kathy is survived by her children, Lonnie (Mary), Monte (Alice), LynAnn, Todd (Suzanne), Son-in-law Kirk Eck, daughter-in-law Janice Cole, 27 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Our many thanks to the staff of Rocky Mountain Care and Dr. Steven Salisbury for their compassionate and loving care.
Funeral services are under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary, and will take place at noon on Monday, October 15, 2018 at the mortuary, 34 East Center, Logan. A viewing will be from 9:30 to 11:30am prior to funeral services. Mom will be laid to rest next to dad at the Logan City Cemetery.
