Our Dear mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Katie Myla Roundy passed away Sunday April 14, 2013. She was born April 22, 1917 to
Myron and Katie Vest in Nephi Utah. She was the third of five children.
She grew up in Lynndyl. Utah and went to Delta high school. She then moved to Cedar City
where she met Floyd Roundy. They were married on December 5th 1936. Their marriage was
later solemnized in the Logan temple.
They moved to Lowell Oregon where they worked on a large poultry farm. While there two
children Rodney and Florene were born.
They then moved back to Lynndyl Where Floyd worked on the railroad, in 1948 they moved
to Mendon Utah were they lived the rest of there life. She was a member of The Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Myla was a member of the Cache Geological Society and spent may hours camping and rock
hunting with her children and grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family just
playing games, camping and just having fun. One of her favorite places to camp was Calf
Creek near Escalante Utah.
She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd. Two brothers, one sister, She is survived by
her children. Rodney Roundy, Mendon, Florene (Darwin) Jensen, providence utah and one
sister Edith, Tooele Utah. She has six grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and twenty-
one great great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM at the Mendon Cemetery with a viewing prior at the Mendon Stake Center, 460 South 100 East in Mendon and from 6-8 PM on Thursday at Allen-Hall Mortuary.
