Keith Patrick O'Dell

Logan- Keith Patrick O'Dell, 50, died in an automobile accident September 22, 2006 in Logan Utah. Born March 14, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan, to Ronald James and Marilyn Ann Maloney. Married Leila Cottam, May 21, 1976 in Brigham City, Utah.
He graduated from Utah State University in 1981 with a Masters Degree in Physics. Keith was employed at ATK Launch Systems (Thiokol) as Lead Engineer in the Systems Engineering and Integration Department. He was the lead designer for the latest NASA rocket for the next generation of manned space flight. A dedicated, hard working employee, Keith was a true rocket scientist in every sense of the word. He was a brilliant physicist with a depth of knowledge in every area of rocket design and development. Well respected throughout the industry, Keith will be deeply missed as an expert, as a technical leader and as a friend to all he knew at ATK.
Keith loved being outdoors. He was an avid hiker and spent many hours geocaching throughout Cache Valley and Utah.
Keith is survived by his wife Leila; daughter Megan; brother Kevin O'Dell of Boulder, CO; sister Collen Green of Lilburn, GA; and his parents Ron and Marilyn of Ogden, UT.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at 11:00 am at the Allen-Hall Mortuary Chapel. 34 East Center, Logan where friends and family may call at 10:00am on Wednesday morning. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Leila requests donations be made to Cache Community Food Pantry at 359 S. Main, Logan, Utah, in Keith's name.
