On December 17, 2022, our father, grandfather, great-grandfather and member of the Elkridge ward family, Kenneth Edward Ray did his last greeting and handed out his last program to be reunited with Joyce his wife of 63 years.
Kenneth is survived by three of his four daughters: Shirley Presser (Mike), Geri Cook (Geneie), Lisa Ray, 19 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Also, one brother, Gilbert and one sister, Sandra. Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife Joyce, his daughter Donna Gahn, a granddaughter Tiffany Ford and a great grandson, Lucas Tippetts.
Kenneth was born in Lebanon, Oregon but lived most of his life in Las Vegas, Nevada where he worked for 30 years at Centel Phone Company as a payphone installer and supervisor until he retired.
Kenneth and Joyce fell in love with Cache Valley while visiting a daughter and shortly thereafter moved from Las Vegas to North Logan. Kenneth had a hard time staying retired and worked for Hilco Plumbing for a few years and made some great friends.
Kenneth remained in North Logan for 36 years the last 11 without his beloved wife. A man never to be idle during the warm months he mowed and cared for his flowers. In the winter he was out snow blowing right up to the last days of his 92 years.
The family would like to thank the emergency room staff at Logan Regional Hospital for their care of our father and the swift response of North Logan first responders.
Viewing will be held from 10:30 am – 11:30 am on December 29, 2022 at Allen Mortuary, 420 East 1800 North, North Logan Utah 84341. Services will follow beginning at noon.
