PARADISE, UTAH: Kenneth Mont Shelton, 60, passed away on September 24, 2008 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Heber City, Utah to Charles and Connie Giles Shelton on July 11, 1948. He graduated from Logan High School and LDS Seminary in 1965. He served in the Eastern States mission from 1967-1969 spending most of his time in Tennessee and Kentucky. He graduated in 1972 from Utah State University with a degree in Marketing. He married Katherine Leavitt in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1970 and they had four children together. They later divorced, but his children were his prized possessions. He served in many church auxiliaries throughout his life. He was a very unselfish person and helped many people. He had a great love for animals and enjoyed living in Paradise where he could be around his horses and dogs. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially his nine grandchildren that he adored. He ran his own asphalt paving business for 25 years and made many friends and acquaintances. He will be remembered for his generosity and great sense of humor. We love our dad and we look forward to the time when we will be reunited with him.
He is survived by his parents Charles and Connie Shelton; brother: Lynn Shelton; four children: Stephanie (Paul) Webber, David (Liza) Shelton, Mandy (Mike) Brenchley, Katie (Rob) Rasmussen; grandchildren, Natalia, Mya Cameron, Josie, Devan, Elise, Anna, Charlie, and Max; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 29th at the Paradise LDS Church at 12:00 noon A viewing will be held on Sunday evening from 6-8 pm at the Allen-Hall Mortuary at 34 E. Center, Logan. with a viewing at the church prior at 10:30. Interment will be in the Paradise City Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed online at
