Kim Howard, 51, passed away from a short battle with cancer on August 6, 2014.
Born April 19, 1963 in Logan Utah to Dean and Marilyn Stauffer Howard.
She graduated from Sky View High school and went on to obtain degrees from Utah State University and Brigham Young University.
Kim served a mission for the LDS church in the Dearborn Michigan mission. She was a member of the original staff of the Mount Timpanogos Temple. She enjoyed officiating there and in the San Diego Temple.
In her professional life Kim has had a number of careers, including teaching in high school, working in the software and publishing fields and her most recent challenge of web site analytics.
Kim never had children of her own, but she relished her role of “Auntie Kim”. She has 4 nieces and 3 nephews along with the many children of her friends that she has claimed along the way.
Kim loved to travel and loved to see the US. She lived in San Diego, CA for a number of years where she loved the temperate climate. While she lived in California she made many friends that she cherished and loved to the end. These friends also comforted her.
As much as she loved the mild weather of California, Utah was still home. She moved back to American Fork so she could be closer to her parents and extended family.
Kim is survived by her parents, Dean Howard and Marilyn Stauffer Howard, her brother Dirk Howard (Tina) and her sister Kaye Frost.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 9, 2014 in the Hyrum North Stake, 245 North Apple Drive in Hyrum.
