Kriste Ann Wyatt Pitkin was born September 1, 1951 to Isabel Riggs and Thomas Wyatt. She returned home to her Father in Heaven on September 8, 2012 after a very courageous fight with cancer.
She is survived by her wonderful husband, best friend, and soul mate of 40 years Steven Jay Pitkin of Smithfield, her two beautiful, amazing children Stephanie (Justin) Wright of Logan and Jason Steven Pitkin of Smithfield, her nephew Brian Stuart Karpowich, and niece Shannon Karpowich Barfus. She was their second mom and best friend. She is also survived by her dad Wendel P. Stuart of Wellsville, her bother Jerry Olsen of Millville, her sister Machele (Marc) Karpowich of Logan, a sister Susan Wyatt Cooley of Logan. She is also survived by her 3 grandchildren in which brought her hours of fun and truck loads of pride, Crystal (Ben) Wasinger of Vernal, Utah; Casey (Alicia) Wright of Logan; and Samantha Wright of Preston. And six beautiful, great-grandchildren that filled her heart with love and great joy. They would make her eyes light up with beams that could light up the night sky.
Also twelve nephews and nieces and their wonderful families. That she loved and cared for very much. Each and everyone of them brought her great happiness.
Kriste loved life especially spending time with her family was the most important thing to her.
Kriste was employed by Smiths on 4th North in Logan for 33 years. And in that time she made many many friends. She did not have co-workers at work; they were her second family. And she loved each and every one of them.
She is preceded in death by her mom Isabel Riggs Stuart, her father Thomas Wyatt, her sister Marlena Bench, her grandparents and a great niece.
Kriste had a motto to life: Have fun, laugh, enjoy people, spend time with your family, and most of all, fill your heart with love and happiness. Just go with the flow!
A special thank you to Dr. Jeffery Strong, Dr. Whipple and his team, Dr. Gilbert and her team, and the wonderful staff at the Huntsman Cancer Center.
