Kurt Alan Fornoff, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly July 8, 2016, at Logan Regional Hospital. Kurt was born Sept. 14, 1958, to H. Louis Fornoff and Alene Stone Fornoff. He grew up in River Heights. He attended River heights Elementary, South Cache and graduated from Sky View High School after all his childhood pranks. He worked at Fornoff Music for 27 years and Schreiber Foods for the past 14 years. He met the love of his life, Polly (Paulette) Perkes, at the Blue Bird Restaurant in 1986. Finally getting the courage to ask her out, even after knocking her off a 10-foot cliff on their first date, they began their journey together. They were soon married Dec. 18, 1987. Together they were blessed with five wonderful children. Kurt was an avid fly fisherman and loved the outdoors; his children inherited this love. He loved to take his family camping and fishing; many a hot dog was cooked over a fire. He looked forward to his yearly fishing trips with his sons and was so excited to go back to Alaska with his wife this year, after having the opportunity to take a cruise with his wife and in-laws. It was a special time for him and his family, a trip that was taken to honor his brother-in-law Steve, and having recently lost both his mother- and father-in-law, he cherished even more. Kurt showed all of us what it meant to work hard and always be willing to help anyone; his work ethic was an outstanding example for his family to follow. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He always said that his family was the most important achievement in his life. As his children grew into adulthood he was extremely proud of the people they had become and was blessed with many beautiful grandchildren. With the trials of his job lately they eased his tension and brought smiles to his face. He leaves behind his wife Polly; his children Jennie, Shaun, Mandi (Jason), Kyle (Jamie), Stephanie (Jarod); and seven grandchildren with one on the way; his brother Kelly {Connie) Fornoff; brother- and sister-in-laws Gary and Julie Perkes, Cindy and Hal Olsen, Pam and Jim Fletcher, and Denise Perkes. He was preceded in death by his mother- and father-in-law Marvin and JoAnn Perkes; brother-in-law Steve Perkes; and his mother Alene Fornoff.
