Dr. Lamont D. Allan, 95, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022. He was born in Wellsville, Utah to Lamont M. and Ida Leishman Allan. He loved his brothers and sisters; Glen, Rosella, Clayton and Jocelyn. He was a beloved son, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend.

He graduated from South Cache High School and afterward joined the Navy where he served on the battleship, New Jersey. He served four years in the Navy. He graduated from both Utah State University and Washington University Dental School in St. Louis, Missouri. On December 28, 1948 he married his high school sweetheart, Bonnie Mae Kellett in the LDS Logan Temple. She worked and helped him through both college and dental school. They settled in San Diego where he practiced dentistry for forty years. They raised their three children, Christy, Greg and Brett in San Diego.

Mont and Bonnie loved dancing, traveling and spending time with their family. Mont loved life and enjoyed many things including the outdoors, camping, watering skiing, gardening, Lake Powell trips, dancing, 4-wheeling in the mountains and family events.

He was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served in many church callings but his favorite ones were those working with the youth. He was a Boy Scout scoutmaster for twenty years. He went on a lot of scout outings including those to the local San Diego Mountains, the Sierra Nevada Mountains and Lake Powell.

Time spent with his family was his most cherished time. He loved holidays, family outings and all family get-togethers. He loved his friends and his friends loved him. He was always helping a friend in need.

He is survived by his daughter, Christy Maughan (Brandt) of Vista, CA; sons Gregory Allan (Janet) of Poway, CA and Dr. Brett Allan (Janice) of Eden, Utah; sister, Jocelyn Bitters of Providence, Utah; eleven grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren. Services and interment will be Tuesday, 11am, October 11th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Wellsville Stake Center, 30 S Center Street, Wellsville, Utah.
