LOGAN, UTAH: Larry Richard Sadler, age 58, passed away quietly, after a life of meaningful contribution to others, on June 3, 2012 in Hyde Park, Utah.
Larry was born March 24, 1954 in Logan, Utah. Larry, the son of Harold Roy and Edna Reeder Sadler, is survived by sisters Jean Kerr (Bill) of Lakewood, California and Sharon Harris (Steven) of Logan, Utah, and brother Steven Sadler (Joy) of Tremonton, Utah. For fourteen years, he was loved and looked after by Micah and Joy Coombs and their children. During his final months he was in the tender, devoted care of his niece, Lara Petesen, and her husband, Shaun and their three sons.
Born with Downs Syndrome, Larry was a gentle, forgiving soul who evoked love from all who knew him. He had an infectious smile and playful sense of humor. He was sensitive to other’s sadness or pain and acted promptly to comfort them. He loved going to work each day and took the initiative to keep his living environment clean and organized. He relished spending time with others, playing basketball, watching culturally historic shows, and adventuring out-of-doors.
Larry benefited from the love of many including his friends at North Eastern Services and Cache Education Training Center and Common Ground Outdoor Adventures. He loved the Special Olympics and graduated from LDS Seminary and Institute numerous times.Special thanks to all those who cared for Larry including Rocky Mountain Healthcare, Sunshine Terrace Home Health and Access Home Care and Hospice.
Funeral services will be held at noon, Friday, June 8th at Allen-Hall Mortuary in Logan. A viewing will be held Thursday, June 7th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the services at the Allen-Hall Mortuary. Condolences and thoughts may be expressed to the family online at

He will be laid to rest near his mother in the Brigham City cemetery on Friday at 3:00 pm.
