Laura Lee Johnson, 77, died Sunday, June 29, 2014 at her home from complications due to pancreatic cancer.
Laura was born July 27, 1936 to Preston R. and Lillie Mae Lee of Hyde Park, Utah.
She married Marvin A. Johnson on August 31, 1956 in Hyde Park, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple.
Laura grew up on the family farm in Hyde Park and graduated from North Cache High School in 1954. She cherished the life-long friendships and memories of those early years. Later in life, she enjoyed participating in the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and her literary club.
Laura, Bam as her grandchildren called her, loved having her family around her. She insisted on hosting every holiday gathering and weekly game night at her home. She loved annual family vacations to Bear Lake, Park City, and St. George and going on trips with her siblings.
Laura was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she treasured her many years of service in the Relief Society and as a worker in the Logan Temple.
She is survived by one son, Terry Johnson of Murray, Utah; two daughters, Leesa (Todd) Stimpson of Nibley, Utah and Gina (Mark B.) Thompson of Providence, Utah; two brothers, Robert Lee of Logan and Brent (Aileen) Lee of Smithfield; two sisters, Carmen Dahlgren of Orem, Utah and Lila (Ray) Winn of Smithfield, Utah; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin A. Johnson; son, Tony Johnson; father, Preston Lee; mother, Lillie (Mae) Lee; brother, Don Lee, and an infant sister.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 3, at the Logan River 5th Ward Chapel, 993 West 1000 South in Logan. A viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 2 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center St., Logan. A viewing will also be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 3 at the Logan River 5th Ward. Burial will be in the Hyde Park Cemetery.
