L. Douglas Clark

L. Douglas Clark passed on Wed. Sept. 28, 2005 at his home in Clarkston, Utah after a lingering illness. He was born October 25th 1921 to Andrew and Sarah Clark in Clarkston, UT. He attended Clarkston Elementary and North Cache High School. He was Veteran ofWWII serving in Europe, where he received a purple heart and gold cluster.

He married Ruth Jones Dec. 4th 1953 in the Logan LDS Temple. He was an active member in the LDS church and served in many positions. He was a farmer by occupation, and retired after 25 years in service of Thiokol Corporation. Since retirement, Doug and Ruth have enjoyed their winters in St. George, UT.

He is survived by his wife Ruth of Clarkston, and his daughters, Marilyn (Curtis) Godfrey of Clarkston, Carol Clark of Taylorsville, and Salli (Eric) Miller of Blackfoot ID. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and brothers Max (Pearl) Clark of Smithfield, and Jay (Shannon) Clark of Mesa AZ. He is preceded in death by parents Andrew and Sarah Clark of Clarkston and infant daughter Margaret.

He loved and was loved by anyone and everyone he came in contact with. We love you Dad!

The viewing will be held at Allen-Cranney Mortuary (420 E. 1800 N. North Logan) from 6-8 pm on Friday Sept. 30th and also before the funeral services from 11-12:00 pm at the church. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 pm on Sat. Oct. 1st, at the Clarkston church house (25 E. 100 S.) Burial will commence at the Clarkston Cemetery directly following the funeral with military honors. Condolences may be sent to the family and a register book signed at www.allenmortuaries.net
