Leona Chugg Poulsen

June 16, 1929 — July 17, 2006

Leona Chugg Poulsen, 77, passed away Monday, July
17,2006 in her home with her family.
Leona was born on June 16, 1929 in Smithfield, Utah to
Melvin Zollinger and Ruth Rash Chugg. She married
Lloyd Earl Poulsen on June 14, 1946. Their marriage
was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.
She attended South Cache High School in Hyrum, Utah.
During her married life, she and her husband lived in
Logan, Utah; Nyssa, Oregon; Paseo, Washington;
Clinton, Layton, and Roy, Utah.
She was an active member of the LDS church and served
in numerous positions in the Relief Society and
Primary organizations. She was a warm, loving,
compassionate wife and mother and will always be
cherished by her husband, children, grandchildren, and
great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, four children; L.
Melvin (Sherry) Poulsen, Elizabeth (Curt) Johnson,
James Alan Poulsen, and Brenda (Fred) Mullins. She
also has ten grandchildren and six great
grandchildren. She joins her parents and brother,
Clair Melvin Chugg, and son, Joseph Willard Poulsen,
with her loving Father in heaven.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 22,2006
at 11 am at the Monte Vista Ward Chapel, 3845 S. 2000
W., Roy. Friends and family may call Friday from 6-8
pm and Saturday 9:30-10:30 am at the Monte Vista Ward
Chapel.
Interment at the Providence City Cemetery. Condolences
may be extended to the family by going to
