Leonard L. Mackey

April 27, 1964 — August 6, 2011

LOGAN - Leonard Lee Mackey passed away peacefully on Aug. 6, 2011 at Sunshine Terrace in Logan, UT. He was born on April 27, 1964 to Milo Frank and Verna Lou Douglas Mackey. He lived much of his younger life in Glendale, UT and Big Piney, WY. He married Alenae Beck on March 23, 1995 in Coos Bay, OR and one year later solemnized their marriage in the Logan LDS temple.

He was a wonderful father and had a great relationship with his children. Their “tickle time” will be greatly missed. He was also a wonderful cook and had big dreams and aspirations for his catering company. He was as active in the church as he could be with the health constraints he dealt with daily. No matter how tired or sick he was, he always pushed to do as much as he could.

He was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his father, Milo and stepmother Patricia C., stepsisters Colleen Wallace, Susan Scott, and Anna Prince, brothers James Martin Mackey, Jerry Reid Mackey, Clyde Roy Jones, sister Belinda Evelyn Hansen, grandparents Martin Francis and Evelyn Myrtle Douglas, his wife, Alenae and children Rebecca (14), Benjamin Ammon(13), Alexander Moroni(11), and Jessica(6) Mackey.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 10, 2011 at 12:00 Noon in the Logan River 4th Ward, 1000 West and 1000 South, Logan. Friends may call at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center, on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8pm and at the ward on Wednesday morning from 10:30am till 11:45am.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the family to help offset on going expenses.
