LOGAN, UTAH - LeOra Thompson Jardine died unexpectedly Thursday February 5, 2007 at McKay Dee Hospital. She was born February 9, 1928 at her Grandmother Griffins home in Clarkston, the daughter of Ivan and Connie Thompson. She attended Clarkston Elementary through eighth grade and graduated from North Cache High School in 1946. LeOra married Larry M. Jardine December 5, 1946 in the Idaho Falls Temple. They moved to Logan where they have lived for 62 years. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served many years as a primary teacher. LeOra worked several years in the sewing industry. She wouldn’t read instructions but could sew almost anything. She loved to quilt and had completed 17 ½ quilts for her grandchildren. Grandma loved to be present at any and every activity that her children, grandchildren, or great grandchildren were involved in.
LeOra is survived by her husband Larry and six children and their spouses: Linda (Jim) Anderson, Judy (Jim) Jackson, Steve (Annie) Jardine, Jerry (Shawna) Jardine, Brad (Beckie) Jardine, and Roger (RoxAnn) Jardine. She will be dearly missed by her 23 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is also survived by her siblings Verl Thompson, Thora Allen, Mervyn Thompson, and Ferris Thompson.
The funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 9 at the Logan 29th Ward Chapel (792 N. 500 E. in Logan). There will be a viewing for family and friends at Allen Hall Mortuary 34 E Center Street on Sunday, February 8 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 prior to services at the church.
