LeRoy D. Eskelson, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Friday April 17, 2015 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on June 18, 1941, to John D. Eskelson and Lucille Davis in Preston, Idaho. The family moved to High Creek, where he grew up on the family farm. He graduated from North Cache High School in 1959. He married Linda Dobson on September 28, 1962 in the Logan Temple. He always had a strong work ethic, and retired from Cache County School District in 2005. He lived and served as a faithful member in the LDS church. LeRoy will be remembered for his dedication to family, especially his grandchildren. He was a big tease, and he always made sure everyone was taken care of.
LeRoy is survived by his loving wife, Linda Eskelson, and four children: RoxAnn (Roger) Jardine, Lonnie (LaVon) Eskelson, Mike (Kylie) Eskelson, and Michelle (Kevin) Low; twelve grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by two brothers and one sister: John (Libby) Eskelson, Jerry (Alona) Eskelson, Bonnie (Vanoy) Godfrey. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Terry, Richard (Dixie), and Leslie (Marjorie) Eskelson.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, April 23, 2015 in the Smithfield South Stake Center, 451 South 250 East in Smithfield. A viewing will be held at the Smithfield South Stake Center on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and prior to the services at the stake center on Thursday from 10:30 to 11:30 AM.
