Leva Humphreys Pearce

Leva Humphreys Pearce, 94, passed away on December 20, 2016 at Terrace-Grove Assisted Living Center due to natural causes.
Leva was born March 13, 1922 in Millville, Utah, the daughter of Lawrence and Bessie Humphreys. She married Ralph R. Pearce on November 20, 1943 in San Antonio, Texas. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.
Leva attended Millville Elementary School and South Cache High School.
Leva worked for many years sewing draperies for JC Penney's. Later she worked in the Printing Services for Utah State University, retiring after 14 years.
Throughout her life Leva enjoyed sewing clothing for her family, knitting, crocheting, quilting, and embroidering. She crocheted many Afghans for her grandchildren. She found great enjoyment in golfing, oil painting, cake decorating and flower arranging. She also had many fond memories camping and traveling in their trailer with family and friends. Ralph and Leva enjoyed many winters in St. George with their friends.
Leva was active in the LDS Church, serving in the Primary, Sunday School, and Relief Society organizations for many years. Leva lived in Logan until the last five years living at Terrace Grove Assisted Living Center, where she made many lasting friendships.
Leva is survived by her four children, Geraldine (Ralph) Cannon, River Heights, Utah; D'On (Verl) Janes, Providence, Utah; Ranae Coll, Austin, Texas; and Craig Ralph Pearce, Sacramento, California. Leva has 14 grandchildren, and 34 great grandchildren. Leva was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, her parents, a grandson, Mitchell Ralph Cannon and her four siblings.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Allen Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street in Logan. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Paradise Cemetery.
