Lila Mae Allen Cook, 98, passed away March 28th, 2023, in the Rocky Mountain Care facility, Logan, Utah. Lila was born at home in Hyrum, Utah May 2nd, 1924, to Winfred Affel Allen and Sarah Ann Nielsen Allen.
She has one surviving brother Roy (Judy) Allen, Holiday, Utah.
She was proceeded in death by her brothers and sisters. Cleo (Ted) Glauser, Ruel (Beth) Allen, Ned (Virginia) Allen, Kathleen (Mel) Glauser, Marilyn (Harlan) Pulsipher, David (Donna) Allen and Dorothy (Larry) Olsen.
Lila married Noel Laker Cook on June 4th, 1946; later divorced. She has four children, Allen Randall Cook (Julie), North Logan, Utah, Carolyn Cook Christenson (deceased), Dan Noel Cook (Vicki), Twin Falls, Idaho, and Robert Loy Cook (Lara), River Heights, Utah. She had 16 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Lila was dearly loved by her children and grandchildren. She crocheted countless hats, scarves, mittens, afghans, tablecloths, doilies & sweaters. Every grandchild delighted in receiving her hand made gifts of love.
Lila lived most of her life in her home on Hillcrest Avenue. She was a long-time member of the Logan 20th ward and later the Hillcrest 2nd ward.
Funeral Services will be held Friday March 31st at 12 Noon at the Hillcrest 2nd Ward Chapel 875 N. 1500 E. Logan. A viewing will be held 1 hour prior. Burial will be at the Hyrum City Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff at Rocky Mountain Care and the members of the Hillcrest 2nd ward for their compassionate care for Lila over the years.
