Linda Kay Chatterton Carpenter, 73, passed away peacefully in her home on September 21, 2024. She was born on August 20, 1951 in Soda Springs, Idaho to Kenneth Robert Chatterton and Aney Avelda Byington Chatterton.
She was raised in Soda Springs Idaho on her family farm, where she gained her love of the outdoors. After high school graduation, she moved to Utah to attend beauty school. She met and married Robert Carpenter and they built their lives in Utah with 5 children. After divorcing, she worked full time and continued raising her beloved children.
She spent the remainder of her life sewing, knitting, and tending to her garden in Logan. The joy of her heart was watching her family grow, and she was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Linda is survived by her beloved children: Mike (Janae) Carpenter, Carrie (Dave) Gay, Jerad (Lisa) Carpenter, Erik (Katherine) Carpenter, Robin (Jeff) Hill. By 1993, she had her first grandchild, and over the years, she was blessed with 20 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She kept in close contact with her two sisters: Gwen England (Mike) and Bonnie Hess (Carl). She is preceded in death by her parents and by her grandson Bryson Carpenter.
Celebration of Life for Linda Carpenter will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E Center Street in Logan, Utah. Services will begin at 11am, with visiting hours beginning at 10am. Linda will be laid to rest in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho following the services.
