Lindalee Wardle Edwards, 54, died Tuesday morning, May 8, 2007, her head cradled in the hands of her husband, Kevin Edwards. Her death followed a lengthy battle with breast cancer, which had recently metastasized to her liver and bones.
Lindalee was born on November 28, 1952, in Burley, Idaho. She married Kevin on February 27, 1971, in Logan, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on April 19, 1973. Lindalee remained active in the LDS Church and served most often in the Primary organization, either as music director or teacher. She completed two years of college at Utah State University, and spent over 14 years working in the Fremont (Calif.) Unified School District. She was a Special Education Paraeducator, working with SED children at both Harvey Green Elementary and Washington High Schools. She retired on disability in May 2006. Lindalee was the mother of five children: Harold (Nell) Edwards (Oak Harbor, Wash.); Steven Edwards (Nampa, Idaho); Joseph (Heather) Edwards (Milwaukie, Ore.); Mary (Jimmy) Tobias (Nampa, Idaho); Rebecca (Nathan) McEwen (Nampa, Idaho). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; her husband, Kevin; her parents, Al and Beth Wardle (Logan, Utah); and her brother, John Wardle (Crete, Neb.).
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, May 12, at the Hillcrest 2nd Ward LDS Chapel, 875 N. 1500 East, Logan, Utah. Viewings will be held at 6 - 8 p.m. on Friday, May 11, at the Allen Mortuary of North Logan, 420 E. 1800 North, and prior to the services at the Chapel from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Interment will be at the Logan City Cemetery following the service.
