Lois Jean Craghead

April 14, 1934 — December 27, 2017

Lois Jean Craghead, 83, left her earthly home in Logan, UT on December 27th, to greet her loving parents, Don (Pa) and Florence (Ma) as well as her older brother Jay.
Lois was born April 14, 1934 in Logan, UT to Don and Florence Crockett. She was raised in Logan, UT where she met and married her eternal companion, Dennis Craghead in the Logan LDS Temple on February 28th, 1952. Lois and Dennis have been inseparable for the last 65 years, even during the time that Dennis served in the Army for 2 years.
Their love for each other will forever be an inspiration to her 3 surviving children, Sandy (Darrell Corbridge), Jim (Marianne), and Todd (Lori), as well as her 10 grandchildren and 13, soon to be 14 great-grandchildren. Lois loved her family and would often be found supporting them at dance recitals, on the soccer and football field, on the stage, or in any endeavor they set out to undertake. She was their greatest fan, and regardless of the outcome, her love, devotion and thoughtfulness was what stood out.
Lois was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for her entire life, serving in many capacities. No matter the calling, her unconditional love for those she served was always apparent. She especially loved the Primary and the sweet children there. This love for children continued throughout her life, and will certainly be felt as this love continues to surround us. She would light up like a freshly bloomed flower whenever she saw or felt the presence of her grandchildren or great-grandchildren.
Lois always worked diligently to bring her family together making a legacy of memories that will last forever. The travel experiences she planned were always memorable, including trips to one of her favorite destinations, Disneyland. Lois and Dennis also loved exploring the backroads of Logan with her sister Judy and Judys’ late husband Bob Phillips. These experiences will most certainly live on in our memories forever. Lois opened her home up to everyone, making certain that everyone always felt loved, and never went hungry. Her love was far reaching, extending to her neighbors, friends and co-workers. She also shared this love with countless numbers of children during the 27 years she worked as a Cook at Ellis Elementary school.
Lois wrote, “I’ll never forget the day Dennis and I stopped being a couple and became a family…with these three children our house became a home, full of work, fun, fights, and noise and bedtime stories and much love.” Lois is survived by her husband Dennis; sister Judy Phillips; children: Sandy (Darrell Corbridge), Jim (Marianne), Todd (Lori); grandchildren: Jason (Caitland), Jill, Jeff (Heather), Emily (Jason), Jessica (Curtis), Jamie, Kelsie (Javier), Megan (Tyler), Miranda, Parker; greatgrandchildren: Landon, Allie, Lilly, Lance, Grant, Ethan, Braedon, Mckay, Aiden, Maddie, Logan, Greyson, Indie, and soon to be Baby Haacke;
Lois was preceded in death by her father Don Emery Crockett, mother Florence Henderson Crockett, and her brother Don Jay Crockett.
