Lois Steele Jardine, 88, of Logan, Utah, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2024 at Maple Springs in North Logan. Born January 12, 1936, in Kanosh, Utah, to Arthello M. and Eva Ahlstrom Steele, Lois brought joy and light to all who knew her.
She attended Pleasant Grove Elementary and High School. Her educational journey continued at both Brigham Young University and Utah State University. Before her marriage, she embarked on a career in the airline industry.
On September 29, 1960, she married Larry LaReu Jardine, and together they built a loving family, raising three sons: Bob, Doug (Colleen), and Brad (Teri). They were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple.
Lois devoted her life to her family, though she also contributed to the community in various roles. She worked at Utah State University and LeGrand Johnson Construction Co. but primarily focused on her role as a devoted mother.
Her volunteer spirit shone brightly throughout her life. She dedicated countless hours to serving others, including her work with LDS Family Services, where she lovingly cared for over 50 newborn babies awaiting adoption. Her compassion extended to her service as a Hospice volunteer and her many years of dedicated service at both the Logan LDS Temple and Logan Regional Hospital, where she served as President of the Volunteer Board.
Lois was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully in numerous callings.
Lois and Larry shared a deep love for travel, going on annual vacations with their sons and embarking on several memorable cruises throughout their 64 years of marriage.
Survived by her beloved husband, Larry; her sons, Bob, Doug (Colleen), and Brad (Teri); and her cherished grandchildren: Amanda (Jordan) Hansen, Meagan (Jordan) Downs, Samantha (Spencer) Bauman, Emily Jardine, and Garrett Jardine, 4 great grandchildren with one more coming soon.
Her greatest accomplishment, as she would say, was her family. Lois will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A special thanks to all the staff at Maple Springs who have lovingly cared for Lois as she coped with Alzheimer's Disease for the past several years.
