Lois Thomas, 83, of Logan passed away Friday, April 29th, 2016 in Logan, Utah. She was born January 26th, 1933 on the Mendenhall farm in Richmond, Utah the daughter of Henry Virgil and Fern Mendenhall Thomas. At the time of her death, she was a member of the LDS 2nd Ward. She has held numerous callings over the years and she was most happy serving in the Primary and nursery. She attended Cache county schools and graduated from North Cache High in Richmond.
She is survived by her sister Jean (Dean) Pierce of Corinne and her numerous nieces and nephews that thought of her as a 2nd mother, a grandmother, a penpal and a friend. She possessed a special spirit that will be greatly missed here on earth by all who knew her. She was an animal lover of many different kinds. She had numerous dogs and cats through her life. She treasured them all. She was always taking in stray cats and feeding the wild birds.
She was joyously welcomed into Heaven by her parents, three sisters, Joan Thomas, Beth Thomas Pebley, and Anne Thomas Kimball; three brothers, Roy Sorenson, Richard Thomas, and Robert Thomas; and a nephew Scott Pebley, and a neice Laura Ann Hess Marriot.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, May 7th, in the Logan 2nd Ward Chapel, 89 South 200 West, Logan. Friends may call Saturday morning at the ward building from 10:30-11:30 AM prior to services. Burial will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
