Lois was born on June 4, 1916 in Logan, the first of three children born to James Raymond and Vella Benson Anderson.
She had a very happy childhood growing up in Logan and attending schools there. She was taught by her mother, aunt, and grandmother Benson many homemaking skills which she used to bless the lives of her children and grandchildren. She married M. After marriage, they lived in Washington and Montana for a few years before settling back in Logan, where they lived for the next 61 years.

Lois devoted her time fully to raising her family, serving in various callings in the LDS Church, including Relief Society President, homemaking leader, and primary teacher, and supporting her husband in his business, church and community endeavors. She and Ted served in the Logan Temple for many years.
Lois loved sewing, handiwork, growing vegetables and flowers in her garden, and cooking wonderful food. All of these talents she shared with family, neighbors and friends. Her home was always a haven to overnight guests and extended family. She was the ultimate homemaker.
Friendships were cherished and developed through square dancing, literary clubs, Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and serving on alumni committees at USU. Traveling with her husband and family has taken her to many places in the world. She and her husband served in the North Carolina Mission for the LDS Church in 1987.
