Lorenzo (Ren) Farnes Smith Jr.
Our Beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather, Lorenzo Smith, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2007, at Sunshine Terrace.
He was born March 24, 1926 in Logan, Utah to Lorenzo Smith, Sr. and Frances Farnes Smith.
Lorenzo was a WWII veteran, serving in the US. Navy on the USS Chicago.
Lorenzo married Mildred Overy of St. Louis, Missouri on January 1, 1947 in Logan Utah. Together they had four children: Lorenzo (Kathleen) Smith III of Florissant, Missouri; Kathy (Barry) Needham of Chino Valley, Arizona; David Smith of Mendon, Utah; and Vickie (Robert) Fair of Plain City, Utah.
He lived most of his life in Logan, working for Logan Bike as a gun and lock smith; subsequently working for Sears & Roebuck Co. for 25 years until their closure in Logan.
Lorenzo loved to hunt, fish and go camping with his family.
Lorenzo is survived by his loving wife and four children; 6 grandchildren: Russell Smith currently serving in the US Army, Troy Smith of Logan, Utah; Elizabeth (Chris) Wood of Florissant, Missouri; Robert, Riley and Candice Fair of Plain City, Utah.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary Chapel. A viewing will be held prior to services beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net
