Lorin Alma Engberson

December 6, 1957 — July 14, 2016

Lorin Alma Engberson, 58, passed from this life to the next on July 14, 2016, reuniting with his parents Ray Dale and Belva June Engberson. He was born December 6, 1957 in Riverdale, MD a few minutes after his twin brother Lynn. The baby of the family, he was well-loved by his brothers and sisters and large extended family.
He earned his Eagle Scout and graduated from Northwestern High School in Hyattsville, MD. He served a 2-year mission for the LDS church in Sacramento, California. He attended Ricks College, BYU, and BYU-Hawaii where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business. He later earned a Master’s in General Administration from the University of Maryland University College.
He married Susan Renee Jamison in the Salt Lake Temple in 1984. They had two sons—Ray and Dallin.
During his career, he worked for many different employers including the US Department of Agriculture and most recently Macey’s grocery store where he made many friends.
A life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served in a number of callings including Assistant Scoutmaster, Webelos Den leader, and Elder’s Quorum President.
Lorin is survived by his wife Susan, his sons Ray and Dallin, and his siblings Ellen McGraw, Dale Ray Engberson, Dixie Lee Burton, Peggy Ann Miller, Martha Jane O’Brien, and Lynn Herbert Engberson. He was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Belva Engberson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, July 18 at the Trail Circle chapel, 645 Trail Circle (600 S. 1800 West), Logan with a viewing prior from 9:30 to 10:30 am. A viewing will also be held from 6 to 8 pm, Sunday, July 17 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E Center, Logan.
