Logan, Utah: Lorraine Harris Johnson, beloved mother & grandmother, passed away June 18th, 2009 at the Terrace Grove Assisted Living Center in Logan, Utah.
She was born February 5th, 1920, in Hyde Park, Utah to Riley Keith & Florence Balls Harris. She was the 7th of 8 children. She attended elementary school in Hyde Park, Utah and graduated from North Cache High School in 1938.
She married her lifetime companion, Christian Hilman (Himmie) Johnson on July 1st, 1940. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on July 1st, 1947. The couple had four children.
Lorraine had many different jobs in retail throughout her life and retired from Schreiber's Foods in 1985.
She enjoyed quilting, cooking, Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was known locally for her delicious pies.
Lorraine is survived by Julie Ann (Charles) Flynn; Chris (Liz) Johnson; and JaNae (Blair) Mitchell; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, her daughter Susan, her three sisters, and her four brothers.
A sincere thank you to Dr. Faux and his staff, the Logan Regional Hospital, the Pioneer Valley Lodge, the Terrace Grove Assisted Living Center, Alpine Hospice, and all of her friends, family and neighbors throughout the years.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on June 27th, 2009, in the Logan 10th Ward Chapel at 792 North 500 East. A viewing will be held prior to services from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Arrangements are under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary. Condolences may be sent to the family at
