CLARKSTON, UTAH: On September 7, 2011 Louise Baker Buttars, 78 passed away surrounded by her sweetheart of 60 years and her family.
Louise was born December 11, 1932 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Osmer Abraham Baker and Jennett Perkins.
She attended school in Mesa Arizona and graduated from South Cache High School in Utah.
She was married for time and all eternity in the Logan LDS Temple to Ross Stewart Buttars on July 18, 1951. Together they had three children.
Louise worked at Mod O Day for 18 years as a seamstress and continued to enjoy sewing & quilting.
She loved spending time with her family, camping, reading, taking organ lessons and scrapbooking with her granddaughters. She had a love for family history and spent several years working in the temple.
She was an active member of the LDS Church and served in various callings.
She is survived by her husband Ross Buttars of Clarkston, Utah. Her two sons Gerald (Sandra) Buttars, Vale, Oregon, Dennis (Kelley)Buttars, Long Beach, Washington, a son-in -law Clyde (Patty) Smith Lewiston, Utah, brothers and sisters; Osmer Baker, John (Kay) Baker, Jennett Holtsclaw, Bonnie (John) Cameron, Linda (Ray) Russell, Marlene (Bill) Pitcher and Norma Chambers. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 2 more on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, and her daughter Darlene.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2011 in the Clarkston LDS Church, 25 East 100 South at noon. A viewing will be held Friday September 9, 2011 at the Allen Hall Mortuary 34 East Center St., Logan from 6 to 8pm and from 10 to 11:30 am at the church prior to the funeral services.
The family would like to thank Dr. Salisbury, Dr. Otrusinik, Dr. Ben-Jacob and the many doctors and nurses at the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray.
