Mildred Louise Harris Garrett passed away quietly at her home in Salt Lake City on May 30, 2014.
Born June 9, 1929 to Ivan Harris and Mildred Carruth Harris in Burley, Idaho. She married Wilford “Jay” Garrett, September 11, 1949 and had two sons Jay Harris and Jeffrey Leon.
Attended schools in Idaho and Utah, graduating from the University of Utah in 1950. Lived her married life in Logan and then moved to Salt Lake City in 1971
until her passing. Louise loved spending time at her favorite places Signal
Mountain Lodge, Wy. and Sun Valley, Id. She was a very accomplished pianist and breaking up her days at home sitting and playing, she also enjoyed bridge, reading, history, love for animals and especially spending time with family and friends. The happiest moments of her last few weeks was meeting 4 new members of her extended family which included triplets.
She is survived by her son Jay H “Goose” and one grandson Christopher Jay, daughter-in-law Mary and sister –in-law Shirley Harris, nephew Bob (Terri) Harris and niece Jane (Allen) Becker and many special cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Jay, son Jeff and Brother Irvin George.

Interment was held June 4, 2014 at Logan City Cemetery, Logan, Utah. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net
