Louise Whitney Smith

June 18, 1911 — August 14, 2011

LOGAN, UTAH: Anna Louise Whitney Smith, 100, of Logan, died Sunday, August 14, 2011 at the Sunshine Terrace.

She was born on June 18, 1911 in Mendon, Utah to the proud parents, Herbert Bradley and Hannah Sorensen Whitney. She married Lyman E. Smith in Logan after graduation from South Cache High School in the 1930’s.

She made her home in Provo for fifty years until 1976 when her husband Lyman passed away. She remained there as a widow until recently, although the home of her heart continued to always be in Mendon. Her warm and gracious spirit was projected by her smile and the goodness that was felt by all. She was loved by all that knew her. She never had a enemy in her life as fas as we remember. We are sure of her joy and happiness as she has been called home to be with her parents and brothers and husband with the Lord at her side. We send our love to her for all who’s lives were affected by her time of earth. For those that knew her, may we bow our heads in remembrance of such a wonderful and dear person as testified by all.

She is survived by her son, Dean Smith of Logan. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Glen, Theo, Orlynn, Howard, and Norman Whitney.

Graveside services will be held Friday at 12:00 pm in the Mendon Cemetery. There will be a viewing on Friday at the Allen-Hall Mortuary from 10:30 -11:30 am. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.allenmortuaries.net
