Our loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend, Lovell Fergus Call Campbell died in Riverton, Utah on June 4, 2023. She was born on July 8, 1929 in Logan, Utah to Clarence and Reatha Hancey Fergus. She married the love of her life, Thead Noble Call on August 24, 1947 in Logan, Utah.
Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on January 8, 1969. Thead died in August of 1988. Following his death, she later married her friend Don S. Campbell. They were married for twelve years.
She is survived by two daughters Lawana (Lamont) Tingey, Fruit Heights, Utah; Lorna Holmes (Roy Macias), West Jordan, Utah; and one son, Darwin (Julie) Call, Wellsville, Utah. She also was survived by two foster daughters, Joanna Tom, New Mexico, and Michele Vicenti, New Mexico and her foster brother Val (Leslie) George, South Ogden, Utah. She leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thead, brother Doyle, sister Dorothy (Bob) Person, her foster parents Wilford and Inarene George, and her parents Clarence and Reatha Fergus.
She was educated in the Logan City and Cache County Schools and graduated from South Cache High School.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had a strong testimony of the gospel. She had many callings in the church, but her favorite was the Primary organization. She was a beautiful seamstress and really enjoyed making clothes for her daughters and Barbie clothes for her daughter's dolls. She loved art but because of family circumstances, was never able to further her talent. She loved animals, especially cats. She always had one or two cats around her home. She loved doing things with and for her children. She was involved with Brownie Scouts and Girl Scouts.
She chaperoned many of her children's activities outside of the home. She had many great friends and loved life.
Please come and join us for a celebration of her life. Her funeral service will be held Saturday June 17, 2023 at 11:00am at the Stewart Park Ward church house located at 565 East 100 South, Logan, Utah. A viewing will be held at the church prior to her funeral service between 9:30am and 10:30am on the same day as the funeral. Interment will be at the Logan City Cemetery.
