When one tries to describe their Mother suitably for an obituary, it is difficult to do. She has labored all her life for her family. She was married at 15 years of age, so was really a child herself when a year later she gave birth to her first child Donna Jean Omstead, who proceeded her in death July 2, 2006. Her next child was Sandra Lee Leavitt who lives in Canada, Dale Ray Farris who lives in Mo, Sharon Ann Miller who lives in Nibley, Utah, Tom Eugene Farris who lives in Australia, Keith James Farris who proceeded her in death 27 May 1977, and Dan Farris who resides near Bend, Oregon. Her husband a loving and devoted father of these children was David Morris Farris who has paved the way for her to follow at this time, died 23 May 1981. If all the events of her life, which occurred from California, Arizona to Australia and back to the USA, were examined and she was asked. "What was the most important single event which has taken place in your life?", she would probably reply it was when she joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on 7 August 1960. For that singular event marked the direction she would follow for the rest of her life and into eternity. It has been her whole focus and ambition to follow the Savior. She has served Him with all her might, mind and strength. Even through trials of health problems and early death of those she loved most dearly, she still carried on with faith unchanged. We are proud to call her Mama and know she is in the Lord's love and mercy at this time. Thank you for being who you are Mama.
