Lucinda Hillyard Nuttall

November 26, 1926 — October 17, 2013

LOGAN, UT - LuCinda passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 17 in Logan, Utah at the age of 86. She was born at home in Smithfield, Utah, on November 26, 1926 , the only child of Frank Wallace Hillyard and Gwen Susie Meikle. She spent her early years in Smithfield. She graduated from North Cache High School in 1944. On May 25, 1945 she married her high school sweetheart Leo Junior Nuttall in the Logan LDS Temple. Together they raised their family in Smithfield.
LuCinda worked for Thiokol, First District Court and for the HEAT program. She was most happy when she was busy. She loved to cook, do puzzles, play bridge, knit, crochet and do needlepoint.
She was an faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
LuCinda was affectionately known by her grandchildren as “Honey” she was an “Awesome” grandma that was loved and will be missed. If you had seen the pretty blonde haired lady in the white Buick with “Honeys” on the license plate, that was our sweet Grandma.
LuCinda was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leo and a daughter Susan Nuttall Redd . She leaves a daughter, Jill (Sidney) Zollinger , son Thomas H. Nuttall, son-in-law Hardy Redd, daughter-in-law Nan Buttars, 8 grandchildren, Travis, Tony, Nick and Mike Zollinger, Amy N. Anderson, Lindsay N. Cook, Kylie N. Dennis and McKay Nuttall. 11 great grandchildren. Sister-in-laws, LaRee N. Maeser, LaVoy N. Robinson, Lorna N. Archibald (Cecil).

“Honey I wonder where you keep your wings. Are they hung in your closet with the rest of your things? Do you put them away and just use them at night or give them to Rosie to polish up bright. I know you have wings, for this must be true, 'cause God always gives them to Angels just like you.”

The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to Rocky Mountain Home Care staff, Logan Regional Hospital and staff, the staff of the Sunshine Terrace Care center and all the love, concern and support from family, neighbors and friends.

There will be a graveside service at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013 at the Smithfield City Cemetery.
