Logan, Utah: Lyle William Negus, 76, died on Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at his home. Born September 20, 1929 in Garden City, Utah to William Lance and Vergie Maybell Jenkins Negus. He married Yukiko Otaka on March 18, 1952 in Tokyo, Japan. He graduated from High School. He had numerous jobs including ranching, mining, a mechanic at Parrish Brothers Tires and Cook Transportation and retired from Logan City after 22 years of employment.
He had lived in Garden City, Utah; Washington State, Japan, Texax, Korea, and Logan, Utah.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving as a Saergent in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of the American Legion and the Eagle Lodge.
A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is survived by his wife, Yukiko, Logan, Utah; one brother and three sisters, Barry Negus (Eliane), Garden City, Utah; Nelda Bair, Richmond, Utah; Ilona Stewart (Chuck), Bowden, ND; Judy Byington (Herm), Ririe, ID.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Udell.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2006 at the Garden City Cemetery in Garden City, Utah. Friends may call at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street, Logan on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m.
