“Smokey” Griswold

Our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Lyman J. Griswold returned to his Father in Heaven and the loving arms of his parents on September 2, 2007 in Logan, Utah.
He was born November 3, 1931 in Goodrich, Wisconsin to Oren and Addie Elizabeth Griswold. He was married to Jacqueline Needham on May 22, 1951 in Lordsberg, New Mexico. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Mesa, Arizona LDS Temple.
He attended Medford High School and served his country in both the Army and the Air Force. He was a life-long member of IBEW electrical workers union.
He is survived by his wife, Jacque; four daughters and one son; Carolyn (Rusty) Miles, Menlo Park, CA; Judy (Daniel) Holmes, Logan, UT; Melody (Arlin) Legasse', Vernal, UT; Michael (Sabrina) Griswold, American Fork, UT; Pamela (Nate) Ashby, Thiensville, WI; grandchildren, Russell and Michael Griswold; Trisha, Jason and Justin Holmes, Heather (Bobby) Taylor, and Lisa (Thomas) Wyatt; Christopher and Erik (April) Bendixsen; Brittany, Markee, Dallas and Stephanie Griswold; Dylan, Sydney and Max Ashby; and eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Paul (Shelvie) Griswold and sisters, Celia Lemke and Mary (Pete) Milosevich.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Warren and sister Margie Rinehart and infant grandson Jared Bendixsen.
“Our love goes with you. You will be sorely missed.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 7, 2007 at the Mount Mahogany 6th LDS Ward Chapel, 1541 North 1300 West, Pleasant Grove, Utah where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary, Logan, Utah.
