Lynda Ann Skabelund Sadler of Cove, Utah, passed away on July 5, 2024. She was 82. Lynda was born on July 19, 1941, in Logan, Utah, to Lynn A. Skabelund and Anna Laura Nelson Skabelund. She was the oldest of three children.

As a young child, Lynda lived with her family on Catalina Island while her father served in the US Navy. She had many fond memories of their time there. When the war ended, her family returned to Logan where she graduated from Logan High School in 1959.

Lynda married the love of her life, Melvin G. Sadler, on June 21, 1960, in the Logan LDS Temple. Together they raised seven children in Cove, Utah. Later in life, Lynda worked at Sky View High School and Cedar Ridge Middle School and loved many close friendships with the students and staff.

A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Lynda was incredibly service-oriented and could often be found ministering to those around her. Lynda was a loyal supporter of her children and grandchildren’s countless games, sporting events, concerts, shows, etc. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and she always looked forward to their frequent visits. She never let them leave without a hug and a kiss and her signature “I Love You” hand sign. Mom was a beautiful wife, dotting mother, and faithful friend.

Lynda is survived by her husband of 64 years; her 7 children: Nancy (Leroy) Sandoval, Todd, Sydney (Laura), Corey, Matthew (Amy), Nathan (Sarah), and Laura; 22 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and her brother Craig (Debbie) Skabelund. Lynda is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Carol Jean Kemp, and her grandson Johnathon Sadler.

Under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary, Lynda’s funeral services will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 11:00 am in the Cove Ward Church house with Bishop Jared Gillman presiding. Friends and loved ones may pay their respects during a viewing from 9:00-10:30 am that morning. Interment will be in the Richmond City Cemetery.
