Lynette B. Darley 57, beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Daughter and Friend passed away unexpectedly, returning to her Father in Heaven, Monday, January 23, 2012 at her home in Wellsville.
She was born August 27, 1954 to Lynn M. and Shirley Baldwin Darley of Wellsville. She was the fourth daughter of five siblings; Marilynn (George) Platt of Pocatello, Pauline (Gary) Wilson of Plain City, Yvonne (Lamont) Jessop of Wellsville and Janice Darley of Wellsville.
Lynette was the son her father never had. She loved to be with her dad out on the farm, and never complained about a hard day’s work. Lynette had a zest for life that was unmatched, she was the life of the party and always made others laugh. She was a champion of the underdog, loved unconditionally, and everyone always felt welcome in her home.
After graduating from Sky View High School in 1972 and later Beau La Reine Beauty College, she married the love of her life Russell C. Nielsen February 23, 1973. They were blessed with four beautiful children. Lynette was later divorced and she became a single mother, working tirelessly to make ends meet. Regardless of where she worked, Lynette always excelled at what she did and developed many long lasting friendships. She especially enjoyed working at her most recent employer, Inovar, as a certified electronic assembly specialist.
Lynette was preceded in death by her beloved father Lynn M. Darley and nephew Michael Shuck. She is survived by her mother, four sisters and her four children whom she adored; Denise (Marshall) Lindsay of Wellsville, Sheri (Matt) Leishman of Wellsville, Andrew (Jace) Nielsen of Salt Lake City and Chad (Meagin) Nielsen of Aloha, Oregon. She was also blessed to have five beautiful grandchildren; McKayle, Kameron, Madyson, Maycie and Fisher. Last but not least, a cherished friend and soul mate, her little dog Annabelle.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Lynette Darley Memorial Fund at America First Credit Union.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at 12 o’clock at the Wellsville Stake Center located on the corner of Center St. and Main in Wellsville. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6 - 8pm at the Allen Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center St. Logan. An additional viewing will be held on Saturday morning from 10:30 to 11:30AM at the Wellsville Stake Center. Interment will be at the Wellsville City Cemetery.
