Lynn Christiansen

Lynn (Chris) Christiansen passed away at the Veteran's Hospital on Oct. 3., 2014. He was the fifth son born to Sidney and Betty Christiansen. He grew up in River Heights, attending River Heights Elementary, South Cache Junior High and Sky View High. Lynn loved the outdoors and would spend time each summer with his grandmother and his cousins fishing at Third Dam in Logan Canyon. He loved motorcycles and enjoyed riding them in Japan. His favorite hobby was gardening. He most recently helped take care of four neighbors' yards and gardens. He loved to cook and had some great recipes that he shared with all. At age 17, Lynn joined the Marines, serving a joint 18 years between the Navy and Marines. He was stationed in Japan for most of those years and married Toshiko Kimmurai. Together they had two children, Lena and Paul. They were later divorced. He married Stephanie; they had two children, Sabrina and Naomi. He is survived by his four children, four grandchildren and siblings Pat, Larry, Marian and Susan. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Boyd and Rex.
