Lynn Hildt

March 30, 1948 — July 14, 2011

Our brother, friend and special son, Lynn Hildt, returned to his Heavenly Father July 14, 2011 after a valiant struggle with heart problems. Lynn was born March 30, 1948 in Montpellier Idaho and was the happiest 63 year old you could imagine. His parents Ivan and Phyllis Twitchell Hildt preceded him in death, along with his step-father Leo Telford and special dad, Bud Hogan. He was the oldest brother of Dee and Ted and proud to be so. He loved being an uncle to a number of nephews and part of the special families of Hogan, Holst, Israelsen and Storrs.

Lynn was an avid fan of the Utah Jazz, BYU football, Aggie Basketball and other local sporting events. He participated in Special Olympics where he won many medals.

Lynn was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Lynn loved doing “the Lord’s business” as he served as home teacher, passed the sacrament and lead the music in Priesthood meeting, supported the missionary fund and other contributions.

Lynn spent many years in the American Fork Training School before moving to Logan. He spent many summers helping on his family’s raspberry farm in Garden City, Utah. Lynn attended Cache Employment and Training Center where he had many special friends. He also worked as a custodian for Logan Parks and Recreation, Mtn. West Seat Covers and the North Logan Library before retiring.

He is survived by his brothers Dee (Shelley) Layton and Ted, Salt Lake City and his 8 nephews. His special caregivers Carol and Kathy Hogan, Logan, Marie and Tyler Holst, Smithfield, Stacey Storrs, Smithfield and Alex Kelley, Logan.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the LDS church missionary fund, Cache Employment and Training Center, 275 West 400 South, Logan, UT or a charity of your choice.
